EXPLANATORY ADDENDUM
EXHIBIT I
SOILS
SNYDER QUARRY 77-210
I-1 - Soils test performed by CSU
RESPONSE I1. The two samples collected at the Snyder
Quarry and tested at the CSU lab show a very different analysis,
(See attached analysis report) Lab No. 9775A was from a topsoil
stockpile and overburden stripping while Lab No. 0775B Has from
strippings alone. The 2.1$ organic matter was undoubtedly due
to pollutants such as grass or leaf bits that had blown into
the material sampled. The low nutrient levels certainly indicates
• the organic matter was not a part of the original material. Lab
No. 0775B is much closer to the proposed plant growth medium,
while Lab No. 0775A is very similar to that which will go on the
sight reclamation terraces.

S-I-13*
