Rock Dog #1, Permit No. M-200 5-045. Natural Resource Trustee
Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received objections to the permit
application for the Rock Dog #1 permit application.
Therefore, staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before fhe Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board, for consideration. The hearing for consideration of the Rock Dog permit will occur
during the April 12 & 13, 2006 Board meeting at Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Room
318, Denver, Colorado 80203, commencing at 10:00 a. m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be
considered on April 12 or 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter s the matter can be considered on April 13.
Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard.
A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur via teleconference on March 31, 2006,
beginning at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Dan Hernandez will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. In order to
participate in the teleconference, perform the following steps, at or just before the scheduled
conference time and date:
1. Dial the toll free, Conferencing access number 1 [phone]
2. Dial the Conferencing "room" number * 2977618 * (NOTE: the star key must be pressed before
and after the room number).
3. Wait to be added to the conference.
Failure to participate in the Prehearing Conference will result in the loss of your party status. If you
experience any difficulty in connecting to the teleconference, please contact the reception desk at the
Division's Denver Office at [phone].
The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to describe the Office's review process, to explain the
rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe
the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to
simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board
Hearing.
After the conference, the Pre-hearing Conference Officer shall cause to bedrafted aPre-hearing Order.
The Pre-hearing Order will be mailed to all parties within 10 working days after the conference and will
contain a list of the parties, provide a recommended list of issues to be considered by the Board, and
outline a schedule for the hearing with time allotments set for presentations by each party and the
Office. The conditions of the Pre-hearing Order are not final until adopted or approved by the Board at
the Formal Board Hearing. Any party has the right to file a motion to the Board to review any decision
