Cottony <br />RE: Rescheduled Pre-hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing for Division Director <br />Rock Dog #1, Permit No. M-200 5-045. Natural Resource Trustee <br />Dear Party and/or Interested Person: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received objections to the permit <br />application for the Rock Dog #1 permit application. <br />Therefore, staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before fhe Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board, for consideration. The hearing for consideration of the Rock Dog permit will occur <br />during the April 12 & 13, 2006 Board meeting at Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Room <br />318, Denver, Colorado 80203, commencing at 10:00 a. m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be <br />considered on April 12 or 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter s the matter can be considered on April 13. <br />Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard. <br />A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur via teleconference on March 31, 2006, <br />beginning at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Dan Hernandez will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. In order to <br />participate in the teleconference, perform the following steps, at or just before the scheduled <br />conference time and date: <br />1. Dial the toll free, Conferencing access number 1 (866) 877-3977 <br />2. Dial the Conferencing "room" number * 2977618 * (NOTE: the star key must be pressed before <br />and after the room number). <br />3. Wait to be added to the conference. <br />Failure to participate in the Prehearing Conference will result in the loss of your party status. If you <br />experience any difficulty in connecting to the teleconference, please contact the reception desk at the <br />Division's Denver Office at (303) 866-3567. <br />The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to describe the Office's review process, to explain the <br />rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe <br />the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to <br />simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board <br />Hearing. <br />After the conference, the Pre-hearing Conference Officer shall cause to bedrafted aPre-hearing Order. <br />The Pre-hearing Order will be mailed to all parties within 10 working days after the conference and will <br />contain a list of the parties, provide a recommended list of issues to be considered by the Board, and <br />outline a schedule for the hearing with time allotments set for presentations by each party and the <br />Office. The conditions of the Pre-hearing Order are not final until adopted or approved by the Board at <br />the Formal Board Hearing.
