The location is depicted on Figure
2, Mining and Reclamation Plan, dated: Mar. 30, 1982. The configuration of the structure is in compliance
with the approved mine plan and permit. The cross section as depicted on Figure 2 has been modified. The
inside slope was constructed to a slope of 1 vertical to 3 horizontal, and protected by riprap at least 10 feet
down the slope from six inches above the invert of the emergency spillway. Cleaning of [he pond is not
required. The pond requires cleaning when 60% of the maximum sediment level is reached (Permit, Section
2.05, Page 37). The 60% level is at elevation 8195.5' and the maximum sediment level is at 8196.0 (Figure
2). The estimated equivalent level of sediment in the pond is estimated at 8194 (2% accumulation).
Vegetation on the crest is sparse [Rule 4.05.6(11)(8)].
f~ A seal or facsimile for registered Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors, presenting the
professional's license number.
Provided below.
f9~ An original signature of the certifying professional, on ell copies submitted to the Division or retained
at the mine site for examination by inspeMion cersonnel or the public.
Provided below on this copy and all copies so distributed.
,\.''• ~.r, ~~
~%j ~a-~
Byror(G Walker.
':Colorado P$ Number 18378
`,
Canadian Strip Mine Pond #1 Certification, 1 November 1996, Page 3 of 3
