u
WATER INFORf1ATI0N
EXHIBIT G
~
5
Development of borrow area C is not expected to have any
impacts on water resources. The borrow area lies entirely
above Willow Creek and the tributary flowing into willow
Creek on the east side of the borrow area. No dewatering
is anticipated as a result. No consumptive uses of the water
will occur, and no changes in water quality will occur as a
result of mining operations. Drainage will be towards
' Willow Creek. There is a large intervening pasture between
the mining operation and Willow Creek which will filter out
any sediment material should runoff reach Willow Creek.
This is most unlikely. The probable course is that the
' water will filter into the ground prior to reaching Willow
Creek. The only other water requirements for the project are
those for fugitive dust control. It is anticipated that the
construction contractor will purchase this water from a local
source which holds an established water right.
i
1
1
1
1
1
1
1
1

G-1
