All
impoundment inspections were conducted by a qualified impoundment inspector.
Inspections took place on September 19ti', 25a', 26'~ and 27`h
The drainage and sediment control system performed well under a major rainfall event
(2.34" in 24 hours, September 15 -September 16). Visible sediment contributions
occurred in Oak No. 1 and East Pyeatt No. 1; however sediment levels in these structures
remain below the 60% level. All ponds will be evaluated for sediment levels in the
second quarter of 2007.
During the third quarter inspection, the following maintenance items were noted.
Johnson #6 -unplug siphon tube; seal badger holes above drain pipe
Johnson #7 -replace the identification sign
East Pyeatt #2 -repair head-cutting beneath the concrete at spillway outlet
East Pyeatt #3 -clean debris from flume
Industrial Waste Pond -install an identification sign
At this time, none of the maintenance items represent a hazard to the integrity of the
drainage and sediment control system. All ponds are functioning as designed.
Maintenance items will be addressed in the fourth quarter weather permitting.
Contact me if you have any questions or need more information.
James M.
