state ReA.
• sites 2~DFS 004 and 008 are monitored for total dissolved solids;
otherwise, these sites are monitored the day after IDES 004 atrl 008
are monitored. Flaw and water quality are nat monitored at either
Fish Creek site if it is observed that there is no discharge fr®
both Caw Camp Cree3c arrl Hord CYeek into Fish Creek. The sites are
monitored for flow, field parameters and the surface water parameter
short list. This program will be subject to revision upon review and
interpretation of the collected data by PCC and ClY+G personnel.
3. Water Cvality samolirxr and Preservation Techniques
Tables 7-82, 7-83, 7-85 and 7-86 list the parameters for which grrnud
and surface water samples are analyzed. Table 7-87 indicates the
sample type, ~servative and bottle type necessary for analysis of
the particular constituents shown. Raw and/or raw/acidified groiud
and surface water samples are taken frc® the sampling site and placed
~'~lY into P~P~lY prepared sample bottles. Portions of the
samples to be field filtered are forced thrrnx~i a 0.45 micron
~++~*+? filter using a 9c as plastic filter barrel and
pressurized nitrogen gas and are then run directly into the sample
bottle. All sample bottles are i~iately placed in an iced cooler
and delivered to a certified contract laboratory at the end of the
day. FPA approved methods are used for all analyses as indicated on
Table 7-88. Field ~ of pH, conductivity anri temperature are
always taken in the field at the time of sailing. On an annual
basis, this equipment will be tested against similar equipment used
in an FPA certified laboratory.
If POC's field equipment fails to meet the manufacturer's accuracy
levels for that particular piece of equipment being tested, PCC will
repair or replace it immediately. The Annual Hydrology Report will
state when the equipment testing took place. The d;cn,~ion in Tab
7, section VII.A.3. has been revised to reflect this field meter
certification program. As has been discussed with Q~ff12D personnel
during field inspections, unlike the surface water sampling
7-308 Revised 12/10/92
