Section 816.22(e) Continued. <br />(i) The results of chemical and physical analyses of overburden and <br />topsoil. These analyses shall include determinations of pH, net acidity <br />or ellcalinity, phosphorus, potassium, texture class, and other analyses <br />as required by the regulatory authority. The regulatory authority may <br />also require that reaulta of field-site trials or greenhouse tests be <br />used to demonstrate the feasibility of using these overburden materials. <br />(ii) Results of analyses, trials, and tests shall be submitted to the <br />regulatory authority. Certification of trials and tests shall be made <br />by a laboratory approved by the regulatory authority, stating that: <br />(A) The proposed substitute material is equal to or more suitable for <br />sustaining the vegetation than is the available topsoil; <br />(B) The substitute material is the beat available material to support <br />the vegetation; and <br />• <br />(C) The trials and tests were conducted using standard testing pro- <br />cedures. <br />(2) Substituted or supplemental material shall be removed, segregated, <br />and replaced in compliance with the requirements for topsoil under this <br />Section. <br />Reiff"IQ6ith"AieA <br />Kerr Coal Company does not plan to use any overburden materials for <br />topsoil substitutes or supplements. <br />Reif"Tipple"Area <br />Kerr Coal Company does not plan to use any overburden materials for <br />topsoil substitutes or supplements. <br />816-16 <br />
