f
•
obtained as needed from a relatively flat area east of the staging area. Soil at this location is
relatively deep (over 12 inches) and removing 4 inches of topsoil would provide enough material
to cover the terrace area with 2 inches of soil while leaving plenty of topsoil over the barrow
area. The barrow area will be reclaimed by disking and reseeding with the same seed mix as that
proposed for the terrace area. The terrace area will be reclaimed by spreading the top soil and
reseeding as described in the plan.
Comment 4, Exhibit F shows only Phase I mining area.
Response - As we discussed on the telephone, the plan is to provide individual maps for each of
the proposed phases of mining prior to the start of that phase. The operator is requesting that the
reclamation bond be initially only for Phase I, and would agree to a condition of the continuance
of the permit that maps and plans for Phase II and Phase III be required prior to disturbance of
those areas.
Please call if you have questions.
S,in1cenrely,
~~~
1 s,S
II 4g`°
1~ i ~..a
David R.
