Robinson & Sons <br />OWNER Energy Fuels Corporation <br />WEATHER TEMP, oA.M. oP.M. <br />PRESENT AT SITE <br />Field engineer arrived at Energy Fuels' office at approximately 10:00 a. m. and <br />immediately contacted Kurt Scherer. Area in vault was provided for lab equip- <br />ment and equipment moved into vault. At approximately 12:30 p.m. Kurt Scherer <br />and field engineer drove to site of Pond A. Contractor was stripping topsoil <br />and preparing to start excavation of cutoff trench. Questions raised at to <br />how long cutoff trench would be. Contractor is R. N. Robinson & Son, out of <br />Hayden, Colorado. Excavation of cutoff trench on east end began around 3:00 <br />p. m. Excavated materials being stockpiled in borrow area far later use. <br />Diversion channels have been excavated on east and approximately center of <br />cutoff trench. Samples obtained from borrow area for -200, Atterberg limits <br />and Standard Proctor testing. Stakes for centerline of dam and haul road <br />are placed, but no toe stakes. <br />Drove to site of excess spoil pile 2-A. Work is not in progress on buttress <br />trench. Approximately 700 feet of the 2800 feet has been excavated. Have <br />approximately 2 to 3 feet of good bedrock material in bottom of trench. <br />Trench is approximately 15 to 16 feet deep. Scrapers are taking material from <br />box cut area east of excess spoil pile IIA and using the material to build <br />access roads. Material also will be used to construct haul roads. <br />No density tests taken because no fill has been placed. <br />Equipment on site consisted of one 825 Caterpillar, self-propelled sheepsfoot <br />roller; three 627 Caterpillar Push-Pull Scrapers; one D-8 dozer; one C-25 <br />dozer; and one blade. <br />es to: ~I-* <br />Signed M~"'_ u' <br />Robert U.
