<br />#2, according to a map entitled "Critical Wildlife Habitat: Montrose County", which was <br />prepared by Montrose County Planning Department in concert with the Colorado Division <br />of Wildlife, no critical wildlife habitats of any type (endangered, threatened, or other types <br />of species) are shown within 4 miles of the proposed operation. <br />Veaetation Information <br />Vegetation was discussed in greater detail in our Adequacy Review #2. The Haldorson <br />property is currently a 156-acre farm, planted in pinto beans, coors barley, alfalfa hay, <br />and corn. The property owners provided the following average annual production <br />numbers: 2,000 Ibs/acre pinto beans, 110 bushels/acre coors barley, 6 tons/acre alfalfa <br />hay, and 190 bushels/acre corn. <br />Climate Information <br />Exhibit K -Climate Information contains a table illustrating average monthly maximum <br />temperature, minimum temperature, precipitation, and snowfall for Montrose, Colorado. <br />This information was obtained from the Western Regional Climate Center. We are not <br />aware of any further information needed to meet the requirement of this rule. <br />14. Nas fhe Applicant provided an adequate description to satisfy the seeding and fertilization <br />requirements of Rule 6.4.5(2)(r)(ii) and (iii)? <br />We consulted with Mr. John Murray of the Montrose County NRCS office concerning <br />seeding and fertilization at the site. The seed mixes he proposed were forwarded to the <br />Division as part of our Adequacy Review #2 letter. We are not aware of any further <br />information required in order to satisfy seeding and fertilization rules. <br />15. Has the Applicant addressed secondary containment for hazardous materials and/or <br />waste? (Rule 3.1.5(11)) <br />Please refer to paragraphs 2 and 3 under #5 above. <br />We have attempted to address each and every issue as thoroughly as possible.
