Dept. of f~atural Resources
Enclosed you will find the maps you requested showing proposed
piezometer locations. If you have any questions please contact
us.
We regret and protest your condition for approval concerning
construction of seep water berms along the existing tailings
pond. We have previously stated that no seeps had been witnessed
since the pond was constructed, It is still our position that
if even the smallest seep should occur, we would immediately
install a seep water berm. The construction of seep water berms
on the pond extentions will be completed when the new starter
dams are constructed. Therefore, we must request that a formal
protest of your conditions for approval regarding the seep water
berm for the existing tailings pond be registered with the Mined
Land Reclamation Board. Once we have received written confirmation
from the board regarding their decision on this matter we will
proceed and act accordingly.
Sincerely
~,~~/~/~
Charles R, Ponchak
.~ \~~ c,
Jtm Point
