One end of the gravel bar has
been mined in the past and is now a small pond of @ 1/3 acre in
size. The site is not highly productive nor does it have the potential
to be highly productive with respect to vegetation. Very little
top soil or vegetation is present on the gravel bar. The vegetation
survey included the gravel bar and a 30 foot perimeter around it
where sane appreciable topsoil and vegetation were present,
which may be distrubed by mining.
The site poses no particular problHns for reclamation.
The vegetative survey taken was not compared to a potential
or climax plant carrrxuiity due to the lack of data for sites
such as this. " '~by Sterling Moss, SCS Range Conservationist
The mine application herein has been expanded to include an
old slew. The slew is approximately 1 to 3 feet deep with
water.
VEGETATION GHARACTERISTICS
List of Plant Species
' Grass & Grass like
Foxtail barley
Western wheatgrass
' Carex sp.
Bromus sp.
Orchardgrass
Poa sp.

1

1
Forbs & shrubs
Clover
Dandelion
Whitetop
Willow
Dalmation toadflax
Narrowleaf cottonwood
*Noxious weed
8
$ carq~osition by wt
60
T
5
15
T
T
T
T
5
5
10
T
