On July 27, 1994 and December 14, 1994, the undersigned performed <br />semi-annual inspections of the above captioned properly in accordance <br />with the provisions with the Colorado Discharge Permit System - <br />Stormwater for permit Certification No.: COG-500878, issued to Oakridge <br />Energy, Inc. Oakridge has corporate offices located in Wichita Falls, Texas <br />and its facilities for the Ewing Mesa Pit No. 1 and Carbon Junction Mine are <br />located some 2 miles east of Durango, Colorado in La Plata County. <br />As a part of the facility inspection, the undersigned examined the site for <br />compliance with the permit. At the time of the first inspection, the <br />construction activities were in progress for Ewing Mesa PR No. 1. The <br />activity for the coal mining of the Carbon Junction Mine were and are limited <br />to monitoring of the environmental requirements under the Permit issued to <br />Oakridge for those activities under Permit G92-080. The conditions were <br />dry and the facilities for containment of surface runoff were in service and <br />designed in accordance with the applicable criteria. No water was in the <br />sediment ponds and no evidence existed for any type of occun'enoe which <br />did not conform with the design specifications. <br />At the time of the second inspection most of the Ewing Mesa Pit No.l <br />activities had been terminated for the winter and there were no retentions of <br />water in the sediment structures. There have been no discharges during <br />the year from the sediment structures.
