FOOTNOTES -APPLICABLE TO PRECEDING PAGES <br />a/ - The thirty (30) day average shall be determined by the arithmetic <br />lean of all samples collected during a thirty (30) consecutive-day <br />period. Samples shall not be used for more Chaa one (1) repartiag <br />period. fNot applicable to fecal coliform determination -please <br />sea footnote m/.1 <br />b/ - The seven (7) day average shall be determined by the arithmetic mean <br />of all samples taken is a saves (7) day period. (Not applicable to <br />fecal coliform determinations - please see footnote m/.) <br />c/ - This limitation shall be determined by a single sample or set of <br />samples as required by Part I.B., Sample Type. ' <br />d/ - When the measurement frequency indicated is quarterly, the samples <br />shall be collected during March, Juae, September and December, if a <br />continual discharge occurs. If the discharge is intermittent, then <br />samples shall be collected during the period that discharge occurs. <br />If the permittee, using the approved analytical methods, monitors <br />nay parameter more frequently rhea required by this permit, then the <br />results of such nonitoriag shall be included in the calculation and <br />reporting of the values required is the Discharge Monitoring Report <br />Fora or other forme as required by the Division. Such increased <br />frequency shall also be indicated. <br />e/ - Defiaitioos of Sample Type <br />1. A "composite' sample, for monitoring requirements, is a minimum <br />of four (4) grab samples collected at equally spaced two {2) <br />hour intervals and proportioned according to flow. <br />2. A "grab" sample, for monitoring requirements, is a single "dip <br />sad take" sample. <br />3. An "instantaneous" measuremeaC, for monitoring requirements, is <br />a single reading, observation, or measurement performed oa site. <br />4. A 'continuous" measurement", for flow monitoring requirements, is <br />a measurement obtained from an automatic recording device which <br />contiauallg measures flow. <br />5. A "visual" observation, For oil and grease monitoring <br />requirements, is observing the discharge to check for the <br />presence of a visible sheen or floating oil. <br />6.
