MMItR Quarry, File No. 2004-067
Response to Tony Peterson letter of Dec. 2, 2004
December ] 6, 2004
Page 3
We are greatly concerned that Mr. Peterson, with the apparent authority of Gilpin County, has elected
through a formal petition to address a number of issues that are wholly outside the province of DMG
jurisdiction. It is inappropriate for the DMG to provide a forum for these issues within its review
process and we urge that the DMG carefully consider the unnecessary expenditure of resources,
erosion of DMG authority, and potential for unintended consequences if this petition is allowed to
stand.
Your attention to this matter is appreciated. Please contact us at any time with questions or
comments.
Sincerely,
BANKS AND GESSO, LLC
G. esso -
cc: Gilpin County Board of County Commissioners
Web Sill
Jeanne Nicholson
Ken Eye
Roger Baker, Gilpin County Manager
Jim Petrock, Gilpin County Attorney
Tony Peterson, Gilpin County Community Development Director
P.O.
