Wehmanen, a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, in accordance with
2CCR407-2, Section 4.05.6(7), certify that Deer Dam No. 1 was inspected by me during construction.
Construction activities commenced on August 24, 1992 and were completed on August 31, 1992.
During construction, the dam was inspected daily to insure compliance with prudent construction methods.
Compaction was accomplished by laying fill material in thin layers wish scrapers and compacting with a Rex
compactor working with a water truck.
Two field modifications were made during construction: The spillway design incorporated a semicircular
metal flume; aconcrete-lined, v-notch spillway was constructed. Also, the embankment design was
increased one-half foot to nine feet. The attached output from Sedimot accurately describes the stage-
storage relationships and modelled hydrologic performance of Deer Dam No. 1.
Colorado PE No. 25518
M W W/mg/10-29-92
ENG/DAM-DERI
Mark W.
