SUBJECT: Deer Creek Caayoa Quarry
Gary, this is in response to the inspection report teceivod on April 25, 1997.
• The ziprap channel from pond UB 1 to pond UB2 will be re-routed so that the flow would
fall into pond UB2.
• I am herewith enclosing the new SEACAD+ run which includes redesign of pond MBl.
The resulu indicaie that the existing culverts and emergency spillways will be able to
safely pass the peak flow from the 10 yr 24 hr storm event The new design of the
existing MBl pond requires levelling of the middle portion of the spillway and deepening
of the whole section by 0.2 feet
• The southeast end of the entrance sediment pond will be buttressed with corn .~ material.
• Regazding the diversion structure at the entrance to the quarry, Western Mobile is in the
process of consulting with the landowner to decide the type of structure to be installed.
