D. Observations (1) The Hydrologic Monitoring Schedule was revised on 12/01/95 and updated in the permit. Therefore it made it very hard to find a monitoring schedule for the period when the monitoring in 1995 took place. (2) At stations S-1, S-2 and S-3 it appears as if Kaiser is completing all of the necessary water monitoring requirements for calendar year 1995, although that is tough to determine because of the lack of a water monitoring schedule that was effective before 12/1/95. (3) At station A-1 it appears to me that Kaiser was following water monitoring schedule of semi-annual Groundwater List for 1995, but without a pre 12/01/95 water monitoring schedule that is hard to determine. (4) Monitoring station W-5 was monitored in July of 1995 for water level only, while in December of 1995 the well was monitored for a scattered list of items. The data that is presented for well W-5 is not consistent with the other wells A-1 and W-1. It is hard to make a judgement as to whether or not Kaiser was monitoring correctly or not because of the lack of a water monitoring plan in the permit that was effective before 12/1/95. (5) Surface water monitoring station, S-1 located on Stollsteimer Creek, a 1/4 mile above the mining facilities, was shown to have a higher pH, conductivity, bicarbonate, sodium, iron. The findings are summarized in the table provided for S-1, attached to the back of the report. Problem parameters are summarized in the table below.
