• EXHIBIT B - Mining Plan
The proposed Gloria Z Mine will be located on private land approxi-
mately one mile west of Fairplay, Colorado. The area surrounding
the property has been mined in the past, and several test pits are
visible on the ground.
Mine Plan
Access to the property from Fairplay is on Colorado Highway 9 to
County Road 14. Roads to the property are maintained by Park County.
The placer deposit is located in glacial till, which can be easily
mined by an open-pit method. Samples taken at the site indicate
that the gold values will be fairly homogenous throughout the depth
of the formation.
A front-errl loader will be used to strip the topsoil from the areas
• to be affected and stockpile it for later reclamation. The front-end
loader will then excavate the sands and gravels and load them into a
dtunp truck for transporting to the processing facility. The mining
rate will be approximately fifty (50) tons pe'r day.
Equipment utilized in the mining operation will be:
•track~nounted front-enci loader (2 yard bucket)
dump truck (6 yard capacity)
one-ton truck (for maintenance)
•pickup trucks
•miscellaneous small equipment
In addition, 2 or 3 trailers will be parked on the site by workers.
Processing Plant
The processir~g plant is portable and will be transported to the site
on its own trailer. Moderate disturbance will result from the level-
ir~g of an area to set up the plant. One water storage impouncfrnent,
approximately 20' x 40' x 10', will be constructed.
•
