During this period, only ponds A (Ouffall 001), B (Outfall 003), D (Outfall 005), and E (Outiall
006) discharged to Foidel Creek. No permit excursions were noted for the December 2001 period. Ouffalls 001 and 006
discharged each week of the period. Outfall 003 discharged during the weeks of December 3f°, and 17'". Outfall 005
discharged during the weeks of December 3`tl, 10'", and 17~"
A Quarterly Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) test was conducted the week of November 5, 2001 for Outtall 005. This test
indicated that the effluent was not acutely toxic to Daphnia magna survival, therefore Outfall 005 is in compliance. Note that
the preprinted DMR indicates acomposite-3 sample type, however this acute WET test only requires a single grab sample.
A Quarterly Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) test was conducted for Outfall 001. This test indicated that the effluent was not
acutely toxic to Daphnia magna survival, however the sample was analyzed after the holding time had expired. In explanation,
Outfall 001 discharged only during the first week in October 2001, did not discharge in November 2001, and began
discharging again during December. No WET test sample could be collected during our regular sampling cycle in November,
and due to an oversight, no sample was specifically collected and analyzed for a WET test in December. As a good faith
effort, TCC had the laboratory conduct a WET test on an archived water sample from Outfall 001, that had been collected on
December 5, 2001. Thus, the analysis was conducted after its holding time. The existing tracking system, set up to catch
missed samples or lab parameters, has been modified to emphasize WET testing frequency requirements. Outfall 001 is not
currently flowing due to freezing conditions. A sample will be collected for additional WET testing as soon as possible.
Ouffalls 002, 004, 007, 008, and 009 did not discharge; and therefore had no chemical tests during this period. Ouffall 020
has not been constructed yet; therefore there is no discharge to enable chemical testing to date. Points 010. 016 and 017
have been eliminated from this permit. In order to reduce the amount of paper work, the following certification will be
substituted for the actual DMR forms to cover the ouffalls, which did not discharge.
CERTIFICATION
1 certify under penalty of law that I have personally examined and am familiar with the information submitted herein; and
based on my inquiry of those individuals responsible for obtaining the information, 1 believe the submitted information is
true, accurate, and complete.
