• Subsidence Monitoring -6- November 1994
Station U21
Change in elevation July 1986 - July 1994 -5.98 feet. Change in
horizontal position July 1986 - July 1994 2.01' north, 0.76' west.
The influence area for monitoring station U21 lies above panels 4
& 5. The graph of station U21 shows a noticeable dip after mining
was complete in the B-Seam. Within the area of influence the C-
Seam was mined last in 1987 and the B-Seam was mined last in 1991.
The influence area of station U21 is no longer over any active
mining areas. There are no structures or renewable resource lands
within the area of influence of station U21.
Station U21 was also established to monitor possible movement of
the identified landslide body. The station moved relatively
steadily to the north during the period of record. The movement to
the west has been erratic. An overall movement of 2.1 feet in
eight years indicates there has not been an activation of the
identified landslide feature.
• Station U22
Change in elevation July 1986 - June 1993 -3.46 feet.
