Because of the long history of minion in the area, many of theimpacts <br />to wildlife have already occurred. The increased mining activity will be the pri- <br />mary impact nn wildlife. Additional truck traffic and human activity will impact <br />bin Dame, primarily during winter months. This area is critical deer winter,ran9e. <br />Any new construction activity in the south, southwest facing slopes will impact the <br />most important deer winter range. ~ <br />Mine Reclamation Recommendations: (may be attached) <br />We concur with the reclamation plan as outlined in the questionnaire. It is very <br />important fora company representative to maintain contact o-~ith the Division <br />of >•lildlifa Mananer to discuss ootential wildlife problens and solutions for al- <br />leviatiny these problems. Close coordination at the local level will prevent <br />many mining-wildlife associated problems. + <br />R.eve9etation should include estahlishment of the following plant species to enhance <br />mule deer range: sanehrush, rabbithrush, smooth brume grass, ladak alfalfa and <br />yellow sweetclover.
