EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN

The mining oP this area, with the proximity of the rig
produce a lake of approximately 26.0 acres. All areas
disturbance above the water line of the remanent lake
topsoiled and planted to return those areas to agricu:
(grazing) use which is compatible with the existing ci
this and adjacent lands. Reclamation will encompass t
within the permit area.
er, will
of
will be
tural
rrent use of
11 roads
Reclamation will commence in the permit area as soon a mining has
progressed to the point that continuing operations wo ld not
disturb the reclaimed areas either from vehicular tra fic or water
action produced by the mining activity.
Two types of areas above the water line oP the remaining incised
lake will required reclamation. Those are mining a.re which will
he backfilled with the minus 1/4 inch material and aff cted areas
outside the mining area. Both types will be reclaimed in the
same manner. They will Pirat be graded, amoothed, and carified or
otherwise have compacted areas loosened. Topsoil will then be
spread over the areas to a minimum depth oP 12 inches. Prepared
areas will be mulched and planted in late Pall ae reco mended by
the Soil Conservation Service. (See Exhibit 12).
Topsoil handling will be kept to a minimum to minimize losses.
All elope areas will be roughed up prior to placement f topsoil
to eliminate potential slippage planes.
lao~ Ooo
Anticipated topsoil available from the disturbance are is 2'3fr;6~60
c.y. This will result in a topsoil depth of-¢~plue Pe t oP soil
available Por the 33.8 acres to be topsoiled. IP a sh rtage of
topsoil should occur, the Pines from screening operati n would
supplement Por some oP the topsoil. The majority of t peoil will
be plat d i areas oP sections 4, 5 and 32 where depth will vary
from,-~o ~~Peet. The areas in section 33 will averag ~-'lfeet in
depth.
The proposed seed mix and planting rates table followi g this page
will be used. This mix was proposed by the SCS. Seed ng will be
done using s seed drill and will occur in late fall to take
advantage of the winter moisture for germination. Liv stock
grazing on reclaimed areas will not be permitted until the
vegetation ie well established.
Care will be taken during all phases of reclamation to keep all
slopes at or less than 3 Pt horizontal to 1 ft vertica .
