M-84-153 <br />Dear Mr. Schmalz: <br />On March 26, 1985, I received telephone confirmation from Mr. Mik Rock of <br />Gunnison County that the County wished to be released from their -acre, 111 <br />permit on the Hollenbeck Pit site due to its immanent replacement by your <br />110 permit on the same site (a 9.9-acre area that includes Gunnis n County's <br />entire 111 permit area). <br />Therefore, on March 28, 1985, the Mined Land Reclamation Board mo ed to take <br />the following actions: <br />1. The Board approved the 110 permit application of Schmalz Construction <br />Ltd. for the Hollenbeck Pit and set the amount of the financial w rranty at <br />$5,000.00. <br />2. The Board released the reclamation responsibility of Gun ison <br />County under the existing 111 permit for the same site upon recei~t of an <br />adequate warranty package (a performance warranty and a financial warranty) <br />from Schmalz Construction Ltd. <br />Upon receipt and approval of your warranty package, and upon race pt of <br />written confirmation that Gunnison County does indeed wish to hav their <br />reclamation responsibility released for the Hollenbeck Pit, I wil issue the 110 <br />permit to your company for this site.
