The proposed <br />application rate is 50 ppm. The only aquatic species that appears affected at this rate is Ceriodanhnia <br />dtlbl8. Since the chemical is a flocculant, Inos[ of i[ is expected to remain with sludge and not be <br />discharged with the effluent. So, it is likely that the concen[ration in the dischazge would be nontoxic to this <br />species as well. <br />On this basis, it is acceptable for use in wastestreams that may be discharged to state waters. We will approve <br />this chemical for use at application rates recomtttended by the manufacturer.
