When groundwater monitoring wells are no longer needed or required for any purpose, each well will be sealed in accordance with the measures described above. Removal of Surface Structures Embankment and Impoundments. All embankments and impoundments will be completely removed and reclaimed after the termination of mining activities. The sedimentation pond will not be removed until the affected area serviced by the pond has been restored, vegetation requirements met, the quality of the drainage entering the pond meets applicable Federal and State water quality requirements and the removal of the pond is authorized by the Division. Upon removal of the sediment pond and diversion ditches, the affected land will be regraded and revegetated in a manner similar to the proposed revegetation plan described below. . Mine Facilities. At the completion of mining operations, the portal complexes, shop warehouse complex, the coal handling plant, and other related surface facilities will be removed. The office will not be removed.
