• 2.05.3(3}
Sedimentation Pond
The sedimentation pond for the planned surface support facilities
area is shown on the Mine Facilities Map (Map 10). The design of
this sediment pond is presented in Exhibit 11. Further discussion
of the sedimentation pond is presented in Sections 2.05.3(4) and
4.05.2.
The sediment pond was originally constructed upon issuance on the
permit revision which approved the construction of the Bear No. 3
Mine surface facilities. During August 1993, the sediment pond was
reconstructed.
Exhaust Fan
An exhaust fan is located on the portal pad of the Bear No. 3
Portals area. This fan is used to provide ventilation for the
underground mine workings.
• Haul and Access Road
The haul and access roads for the Bear No. 3 Mine are shown on the
Mine Facilities Map (Map 10) and the Road Design Map (Map 11).
Stipulation No. 21 requires the operator to monitor both the
operational and reclaimed configuration of the portal access road
and portal facilities of the No. 3 Mine. Monitoring is to continue
on a semi-annual basis until two years following completion of the
reclamation of the portal access road and portal facility area.
Results of the monitoring are to be submitted to the Division
within 30 days following completion of each monitoring episode.
Bridue
A bridge crossing the North Fork of the Gunnison river is utilized
to gain access to the property.
•
2.05-21 Rev. 01-31-96
