f
i
• 2.05.3(2)
The major equipment to be utilized at the Bear No. 3 Mine is
presented in Table 9, Equipment List.
Ventilation
~ The objective of mine ventilation is to provide an adequate supply
of uncontaminated air to the working areas. The volume and
velocity of this air will be sufficient to dilute, render harmless
or carry away, flammable, explosive and harmful gases, as well as
dust, smoke, and explosive fumes. The projected mine air courses
have been designed to provide a volume of air necessary to meet
~ these objectives.
On one side of the main entries there will be two or three intake
air courses. One of the intake air courses will also be used as an
haulage entry. The beltline entry, usually the middle entry, is
isolated from the intake and return air flows with ventilation
stoppings. The belt line entry is a neutral air course. Two or
three return air entries are located on the opposite side of the
• beltline entry.
•
2.05-8 Rev. 11-30-93
