keclarnation Plan:
A. The material will be mined in such a manner as
to leave a finished countour that blends with
the natural appearance.
B. Top soil has not been saved and due to the thin
layer it probably would not be feasible to try
to stockpile it.
l:. The subsoil will be smoothed over the area when
the time comes to reclaim the pit area. It is
not planned to close this pit in the near future
as it is relatively new and a good source of
road materialf
U. The subsoil when mixed in with the gravel which
contains some clay will support a vegetative cover.
The following mixture of grass seed will be planted.
~ lb. Sand Love Grass
3 lbs. Blue Gramma
2 lbs. Sand Blue Stem
1 lb. Switch Grass
1 lb. Sweet Glover
At the time of seeding or immediately before the
area to be seeded will be treat$d with 50 lbs.
of Nitrogen per acre.
E. Drainage ti~~ill not be a factor as there is no
surface or ground water.
F. 6rildlife will not be affected by the operation of
the pit or by the reclamation.
