'Seven (7) day average' means, with the exception of fecal coliform bacteria, the arithmetic mean of all samples <br />collected in a seven (7) consecutive day period. For fecal coliform bacteria, it is the geometric mean of all samples <br />taken in a seven (7) consecutive day period. Such saves (7) day averages shall be calculated for all calendar weeYs, <br />which are defined es begitming on Sunday and ending on Samrday. If the calendar week overlaps two months (i.e. the <br />Sunday is in one month end the Samrday in the following month), the eaves (7) day average calculated for Hut calendar <br />week shall be associated with the month that contains the Saturday. Samples may not be used for more than one (I) <br />reporting period. <br />12. 'Thirty (30) day average' mesas, except for fecal coliform bacteria, the arithmetic mean of all samples collected doting <br />a thirty (30) consecutive-day period. For fecal coliform bacteria, it is the geometric mean of all samples collected in a <br />thirty (30) day period. The permittee shall report Hte appropriate mean of all self-monitoring sample data collected <br />during the calendar month on the Discharge Monitoring Reports. Samples shall not be used for more than one (1) <br />reporting period. <br />13. 'Tool residual chlorine' monitoring shall be required only if chlorine or other halogens are used at Hte facility and may <br />be in the effluent stream. <br />14. 'Visual" observation is observing the discharge to check for the presence of a visible shin or floating oil. <br />I5. 'Water Quality Control Division' or 'Division' means the state Water Quality Control Division as established in 25-8- <br />]0( et al. <br />REPORTING <br />1. Sienatorv Requirements <br />All documents required for submittal shall be signed by the permittee in accord with the following criteria: <br />a) In the case of corporations, by a principal executive officer of at least the level of vice-president or his or her duly <br />authorized representative, if such representative is responsible for the overall operation of the facility from which the <br />discharge described in the form originates; <br />b) In the case of n partnership, by a geaenl partner, <br />c) In the case of a sole proprietorship, by the proprietor, <br />d) In the case of a municipal, state, or other public facility, by either a principal executive officer, radting elected <br />official, or other duly auttorired employce. <br />2. Certification <br />Any person signing a document for submittal shall make the following certification; 'I certify tinder penalty of law that <br />this document and all attachments were prepared under my direction or supervision in accordance with a system desigrted <br />to assure that qualified persomel properly gather and evaluate the information submitted. Based on my inquiry of Hte <br />person or persons who manage the system, or those persons directly responsible for gathering, the information submitted <br />is, to the best of my knowledge and belief, true, accurate, and complete.
