Mine type and location <br />Gravel Pit <br />Pit #23 Lots 17 and 19 in Section 16, T.34S., R.48W. of the Sixth P.M. <br />3. Duration of Operation <br />Perpetual as needed. <br />4. Total Area Disturbed <br />8.769 Acres <br />5. Wildlife Species List <br />Horned lark, black-tailed jackrabbit. scaled quail, ring-necked pheasant, <br />cottontail rabbit, Swainsin's hawk, meadowlark, English sparrow, rough-legged <br />hawk, kangaroo rat, western kingbird, mourning dove, rattlesnake, lark bunting, <br />bobwhite, eastern kingbird,mule deer, pocket gopher, loggerhead shrike, <br />killdeer, prairie falcon, Cassin's sparrow, coyote, white-tailed deer, golden <br />eagle, and other nongame species which occur in sand-sage habitat type. <br />6.Endangered Species Impacted <br />Golden eagle, and peregrine falcon (very rarely, however). <br />7. Assessment of Mining Impact on Wildlife <br />No significant inpact during actual operation of gravel pit. <br />8. Proposed Mitigation Measures, Including Reclamation for Wildlife Habitat <br />Back- slope and revegetate, if possible (lack of moisture might make <br />revegetation difficult at best). <br />Prepared by: Robert E.
