<br />SWiDAY flI\E <br />E~'IIIRIT J <br />~i <br />The Sunday *~ine is located on the South wall of Big Gypsum Valley. <br />Most of the site is located on steeoly sloping shale outcrops that blend <br />into a gently sloping and rolling valley floor having a northern aspect. <br />The strew hillsides are visualle dominated by scattered pinyon and juniper <br />of 4 to 8 feet in height. Actual cover is estimated to be approximately <br />16.°;; consisting of the following: 10% Pinyon-Juniper, 14% Small Sage- <br />brush, 43% grasses (Galleta 26%, Indian F.icegrass 17% and Blue GraQma <br />2%), 21`/, Russian Thistle with the rest consisting of Cactus, Yucca, <br />Snakeweed and other miscellaneous forbs. <br />The valley floor is dominated b}• grasses with some scattered shrubs <br />and juniper. Vegetation cover is estimated at 15% consisting of tt.e <br />following: 51% P.ussian Thistle, 34`/, grasses (Galleta 21%, Blue Gramma <br />10%, Indian Ricegrass 3:;), 4% Snakeweed, 11:; Big Sagebrush, Juniper, <br />Shads-cale Saltbush, Cactus and miscellaneous forbs. <br />
