Permit C-82-056
Per our discussion of June 3, TCC wishes to confirm that we were unable to obtain the May
semi-annual sample from well 006-88-2 as required by our permit. The reason a sample could
not be obtained is that the casing appears to have been collapsed or broken at a depth of 250
feet. Likewise, well 006-87-1 (which collapsed in 1989 of which the Division was notified)
could not be sampled. TCC intends to replace both of these wells this summer as soon as site
selection is completed. Potential sites include an old exploration hole which could be drilled
out, or ne wholes. TCC will submit drill hole abandonment reports following grouting of wells
88-2 and 87-1, and will submit a minor revision to the TCC Hydromonitoring Pian to reflect the
two replacement wells which will most likely be completed to the north and east of the two
current wells.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Marcus A.
