Most of the pits are on land owned by one property owner which completely surrounds the gravel pit. Gwners noti- fied are the ones having property either adjacent or within 4 mile of gravel site. Exhibit B (1) I am sorry this was omitted. The top soil stock- piles will be seeded with perennial grass cover until reclama- tion is completed. (3) San Miguel River will be protected by berms situated between river and areas of operation in pit ~p13. Hillside area adjacent to river will have a 2-step berm as out- lined by Corps of Engineers, and gravel stockpiles will be placed on elevated pad areas also outlined by the Corps. Exhibit D (3) See above. Same as B (3). Exhibit E (4) Seeding rates given are broadcast rates as suggested by S.C.S. (5) a.~lop uarries. These are in solid rock and muse b d~ril_lecl and blaste for stone material. Sides are generally not over ten (iflj--fee in height and require blasting in about 'Five (5) feet steps. b. All other pits will be sloped to fit the general contour of surrounding terrain and to facilitate eveni:ual usage of farming, grazing and wildlife habitat. A general rule will be slopes no greater than 2 or 3 to 1. (6) I have contacted the S.C.S. and B.L.M. and they will regulate the grazing on these lands and they also share your concerns. (7) Pii: ~p13 will be reseeded in all areas that we distunb until such time as development does occur. Hoping this will suffice.
