Lung <br />Rangely, Colorado 81648 Division Dueao~ <br />RE: RP-4 Sediment Pond Embankment <br />File C-81-018 <br />Dear Mr. Lepro: <br />Dr. Jim Pendleton, engineering geologist from our Denver office has <br />reviewed the evaluation of the Sediment Pond RP-4 embankment dated <br />June 10, 1996. In accordance with the recommendations contained in <br />Dr. Pendleton's memo (enclosed), WFU will be required to comply <br />with the following: <br />First, WFU will need to notify the Division within on day of any <br />unusual events or movements noted with respect to the embankment. <br />Second, WFU will need to perform a consolidation swell test and <br />submit the test data report to the Division within two weeks, along <br />with an amended remedial action plan, if warranted based on the <br />results of the testing. <br />Please contact me if you have any questions. <br />Si rely, <br />~~~ <br />Dan T.
