A Blast Vibration Analysis report is currently in process and will be
submitted at the November 21, 2005, pre-hearing conference on this application. The Blast
Vibration Analysis will describe the nature and operations ofthe District lighting on State Highway
119 near the proposed MMRR Quarry. It will also identify certain sensitive receptors within the
lighting fixtures. Finally, it will provide a geotechnical evaluation and detail potential impacts to
those sensitive receptors from blasting operations at the proposed quarry. Thus, additional
information on the exact technical nature of the threat to the District's property that is posed by the
proposed MMRR Quarry is forthcoming.
At this time, as an owner of property within 200 feet of the affected land of the proposed
mine, the District requests to be included in the upcoming proceedings, including the December 13th
and 14th MLRB heazings on the application, as an aggrieved party.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Very truly yours,
GRIMSHAW & HARKING,
A~Pro~fessional Corporation
~/` `"
Norman .
