The put~ose of the stud~was to identify and record all cultural remains over 50 years old within the <br />area of potential impact. to assess their sietificance and elirabilityjg the National Register of Nstoric Places <br />(NRI-IP). and make recommendations concerning management. If possible. the remains will add to our <br />understanding of the prehistory and history of the region. <br />VII. FIELD METHODS <br />28. Definitions: Site Sites were defined by the presence of six or more artifacts and/or significant <br />feature(s) indicative of~attemed human activity. <br />1F Single activity remains usually represented by the presence of 1 to 5 artifacts apparently of <br />surficial nature. <br />29.
