Three subsequent
surveys were completed on June 13th, August 21st and September 8th, 1989.
The surveyed elevations are shown on Table 1. The shots are from north to
south across the embankment. Pins Ill, #3 and #5 are located on the
northeast side and above the pond embankment. Pins #2, #4 and #6 are
located on the northwest side and back from the ponds embankment. See
attached Table 1 for the results of the survey.
The survey results showed minute movemegt on two pins (115, N5) in June
1989 which did not continue when surveyed in September 1989. CYCC concludes
that the Pond H embankment is stable with very minute movement. CYCC will
continue to conduct periodic visual observations on the embankment during
NPDES field visits to Pond H (Site 57). This should satisfy the concerns
raised by the CMLRD during past inspections.
If there are additional questions or concerns, please contact me.
Sincerely,
R~.,eS~,w.~ ua
Richard Hughes
Environmental Specialist
RMH/dg
Attachment
c~RUs
