f'
8 POINT PLAN NSI 7H-2I
INJECTION WELL FOR CAVITY 7H
1) Estimated tops of important geologic markers are shown on attachment #1. The
diagram shown on this attachment details the depths of the formations and zones
of interest in this azea. Well IRI-1 is the closest well to the planned horizontal
wells to be drilled and was selected to represent what will be found in either of the
new wells.
2) The estimated tops of water bearing zones aze shown below.
Aquifer Depth
Perched 450
A-Groove 1420
B-Groove 1610 '
Dissolution Surface 1920
3) Per item 6.3.1 of the NSI Mine Plan, a BOP (Blow Out Preventer) or annular
preventer will be used. The working pressure of such a device must be greater
than 1.0 times TVD (True Vertical Depth) of the long string casing setting depth.
Drilling within the Boies Bed, after the access casing is cemented into the Boies
Bed roof, does not require the use of a preventer unless air or mist drilling is
initiated.
A typical preventer arrangement that accompanies a drilling rig is shown on
attachment #2. All or part of the arrangement will be used to meet the
requirements of the NSI Mine Plan.
Preventer will be tested each day and before each trip to a minimum of 150 psi.
4) Casing Plan:
De th Size Wei t T e Cement Volume
0-60 ft. 10-3/4 " 40.5 # K-55 Cement to Surface
0-2250 ft. 7-5/8 " 26.4 # K-55 Foam Cement to surface 483 cu. ft.)
2200-3600 ft 5-1/2 " 17 # K-55 Sus ended from 7-5/8 shoe to TD
