Following is additional information needed for
this permit application to be considered adequate.
1. Reclamation Plan
a) In order for final reclamation to be in conformance with the
final land use, which is agriculture-grazing, highwalls should be sloped
2:1 or better, rather than benched. This should be quite feasible with a
pit no deeper than what is planned. The cut area should be rounded to
blend with the remaining hillslope. '
b) Anew reclamation map showing final contours is needed.
c) The seed mix for the quarry site should have more native species
in it. Indian ricegrass and June grass should be added.
2. Processi~ Site
More detailed information is needed on the disturbance at this site.
A map showing equipment and surface disturbance could accomplish this.
3. Give proof of legal right to enter. If a lease agreement is not
available, a notarized statement from the landowner is sufficient.
9. Show that adjacent landowners have been notified.
