~ COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT, Water Quality Control Division
Rationale -Page 2, Permit No. CO-0038776
• 1/!. PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT
ey letter dated April 30, 1996, the permittee requested that the Jlow limitation for outfall 007 be increased from 0.010 MGD ro
0.020 MGD because the wastewater treatmem facility (WWI'F) is undergoing an expansion. However, because this rystem is a
domestic WWTF, the permittee must receive site approval before the flow limitation can be increased and am other
modifications can occur, if appropriate. The permittee is cunemty going through the site application process that leads to site
approval.
Occasional exceedences of the current Jlow limitation may occur during this interim period. No exceedences of other
limitations have occurred nor are expected. /t should be noted that this outfall does not discharge directly to state waters, it
discharges to industrial pond MB-2R (ou¢a[l 004), which subsequently discharges to the North Fork of the Gunnison River.
By this permit action, no flow limitation will apply until site approval is granted. The permittee will cominue to be required ro
report flow at the frequency specified in Part /. B. 1. (e) of the permit. When site approval has been granted, the permittee needs
to notify the Permits and Enforcement Section so that the flow limitation can be amended to 0.020 MGD.
Page 5 of the permit (Pan l.A.1.
