Box 1594
Colorado Springs, Colo. 80901
March 15, 1990
Heather Land and Cattle Corp. (Heather) is the equity owner as well as
Lessee of land surrounding this requested operation. Heather has no
objection to the stone operation as such but does have other concerns.
1. High Plaiuns Stone Company sh uld be responsible for road maintenance when
hauling across the ranch. Heath r does not feel that this is a cost item
that they should have to bear.
2. Adequate livestock control such as necessary cattle guards should be
the reponsibility of the applic~nt. Drivers should be instructed to drive
at a reasonable speed so as not to endanger livestock.
3. Heather would like assurance that this new permit will not adversely
affest its existing Special Use Permit with Fremont County especially
with regard to traffic count and access to State Highway 115.
I am not sure if these items are in your purview. Therefore, I am sending
a copy to Fremont County Planning Commission in case this falls in their
jurisdiction.
Your consideration will be appreciated.
cc: Fremont County Planning Commission
Sincerely
A.
