One permit exceedence occurred during the quarter for % BOD Removal.
At Ou[fall 002 and Site 3001 an exceedence occurred on December 23rd when the % BOD Removal was 83.13%, below the
85% minimum limitation. TCC believes this exceedence waz a result of unusual conditions created during the holiday
season, due to lack of personnel on site. We have experienced no other problems with the % BOD Removal during this
reporting period.
Outfall 001 had no discharge for the second half of November and all of December, which lessened the number of field
parameter values calculated into the statistics reported on the DMRs.
Quarterly Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) tests were scheduled for late November at Outfal] 001, but low flow conditions in
both Fish and Trout Creeks during mid-November prohibited our ability to discharge from the facility for the remainder
o{ the 4th quaver. So, although planned, the WET tests were not obtainable due to these extenuating circumstances.
The DMR for Permit CO-0042]61 is being subitted late, due to a lack of the proper documentation forms. But, az per
conversations with Carla Lenkey, Sandra McDonald, and Leslie Simpson, this submittal will be recognized as being timely and
no violation will be incurred.
Please con[act me at (970) 870-2785 for any further questions or additional information.
enclosures
cc: DMG
CWPS Permit No. CO-0042161 file
Twentymile Coal Company
29515 ROUTT COUNTY ROAD N27, OAK CREEK, CO 80467 Phone: (970) 879-3800 Fax: (970) 879-8050
