International, Inc. <br />Plan of Develo <br />ment ~'~` <br />,'~ - ~~`~'' <br />p . <br />c <br />for <br />Land Use Permit Application COC-69575 -.,. _ ,. , ,. , ~._ . ~- . <br />Description of Proposed Land Use: <br />• Our proposal is to drill and maintain 1-2 groundwater monitoring wells (see map submitted <br />Apri13, 2006). <br />• This is for the purpose of gathering groundwater quality data to 1) determine the feasibility <br />of developing a future mining operation on our mining claims LKA No. 1 and No. 2, 2) <br />provide required baseline water quality data in the event a mining operation proposal is <br />developed, and 3) provide water quality monitoring data in the event a mining operation <br />proposal is approved. <br />• It is necessary to use public lands in order to properly place the wells and provide the <br />necessary groundwater quality information. <br />• We propose to drill the wells by late April or early May, weather permitting. <br />• The wells will be needed for our feasibility determination and for baseline water quality data <br />for at least one year, but no more than three years. <br />Design Criteria: <br />• The well(s) will be installed in compliance with applicable State laws and rules. <br />• The upper well will be drilled first. If water available downhole is of sufficient quantity, the <br />second lower well will not be drilled. <br />• Wiil drill angle holes to intersect vein. <br />• Wells will be approximately 100 feet deep to reach below the river level. <br />• Wells will be 2'/2 inches in diameter, cased with PVC. <br />• A shallow pit will be dug below each well site to contain any water that may be released <br />during drilling. The pit(s) will be dug by a backhoe, and will be approximately '~ feet deep <br />and ~ feet in diameter.
