A mining permit (JJo. 79-216 was issued by
the Flined Land Reclamation Board on December 18, 1980.
In order to update this permit I have enclosed a blow-up of the permitted area
depicting the changes which have occured since approval of the mining plan
(exhibit C) and also I have shown the lands to be affected during the coming year.
In discussion with George Martinez (road supervisor for District #2) he stated
that at .time of original application approximately 30,000 tons of gravel was
stockpiled. This stockpile has been used since December of 1980 when approval
was granted. Due to this fact very little mining has occured since that date.
Concerning the coming year Mr. Martinez has informed me that an additional 20,000
tons of gravel will be mined in 1984.
There has not been any reclamation that has occured since the issuance of the
permit, however, the topsoil stockpiles have been placed at a maximum slope of
2:1 and have been seeded for purposes of stablization.
I hope this letter and the attached map is in compliance with the requirements of
the annual report. If any further information is required, please contact me.
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
Sincerely,
COUNTY OF FREMOtJT
~J ~~~~
Bill Giordano
Planning Director
BG/jf
enclosure
~ ~a 5/~`F
a'Vl
F~ ~~
RECEIVED
FEB ~ 9 1984
LINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
Colo.
