Box 71649 <br />Denver, Colorado 80221 <br />RE: Broderick and Gibbons - "Fountain Pit" <br />File no. 81-307 <br />Dear Mac: <br />Due to the receipt of a substantial package of comments from the City of <br />Colorado Springs and the Fountain Valley Authority concerning the above <br />captioned operation, the Mined Land Reclamation Board moved to hear the <br />application for a mining and reclamation permit for this operation during <br />their March 24-25, 1982 meeting (instead of during yesterday's meeting). <br />This was the Board's option to exercise, since the March meeting is sti 11 <br />within the 90-day time period from filing of this application. <br />I have arranged a meeting with the interested parties for I:00 p. m., <br />March 9, 1982, The site of the meeting will be at the Nixon power plant, <br />just off Interstate Z5, exit 125. During that meeting, we can discuss the <br />various matters of concern raised by the City and the Fountain Valley <br />Authority. <br />I will plan to talk to you concerning these matters sometime next week. <br />Sincerely, <br />~7 <br />Mark S.
