The methods used in <br />describing the profiles are discussed in Section 1.6.4• Three <br />profile descriptions are provided to characterize each soil <br />series phase or phase of series variant comprising the mapping <br />units. <br />7.5.5 Analytical Results <br />• Chemical and physical analyses for the soils series <br />phases or phase of series variants analyzed are in Appendix <br />C. Also included are the chemical ahd physical analyses of <br />samples taken from disturbed areas. Representative samples <br />of soil series phases or variants were selected for laboratory <br />analysis in an effort to determine their suitability for <br />use in reclamation. <br />1.5.6 Topsoil Characterization (Undisturbed Areas <br />Table 1 lists each soil aeries or series variant with <br />its taxonomic classification. Selected characteristics <br />affecting the suitability of the soils for topsoil material <br />• are in Table 2. Table .2 also contains the suitability <br />classification and average depth of suitable topsoil for <br />- 12 - . <br />
