disturbed were sampled and evaluated in relation to their
ability to be successfully revegetated.
This soil survey conforms to the general standards
oP the National Cooperative Soil Survey as outlined in USDA
Handbooks 436, 18, and 60. This survey also conforms to
applicable state and federal guidelines.
The following Sections 1.4.1 through 1.4.6 apply
primarily to the procedure used to map the undisturbed
portion of the pad area while Section 1.4.7 applies to the
methods used to evaluate the disturbed areas (roads, drill
pads, etc.).
• 1.4.1 Field Observations
Field observations provided the basis for soils mapping,
sampling, and description presented in this report. These
observations were primarily obtained Prom field observations
and numerous spade and core-auger holes ranging in depth
Prom one to Pive or more feet which were dug in each soil
material or map unit delineation. In addition, samples were
obtained Prom areas of existing disturbance.
