_ July 1993 -36- 923-2515 •
water that is available is of a mazginaQ quality for crop production. There are no AVF's along
Annand Draw.
6.4 Scotchmans Gulch
There are no existing flood irrigation areas along Scotchmans Gulch and no potential flood
irrigation areas because there aze no productive irrigable soils. Additionally, there is no source
of water for flood irrigation because of the low stream flow. If the water quality of the stream
flow of Scotchmans Gulch is similaz to the sampled ground water, it would be of a mazginal
quality for crop production. There is a 12 acre portion of a larger grain field along Scotchman
Gulch that is subirrigated and used to grow annual grain crops. ;This field is not an AVF
because the increased water resulting from subirrigation reduces„ rather than enhances the
agricultural production.
•
n
U
Golder Associates
