__ 7uly 1993 -34- 923-2515 <br />5.4.6 Wetlands <br />A narrow band of wetlands cxcurs in saturated and sometimes inundated soils continuously along <br />Scotchman Gulch (Figure 2). These wetlands are typical of those described for Grassy Creek <br />in Section 5.1.6. These wetlands are not managed differently from the surrounding native <br />rangeland. They have not been seeded or enhanced with cultivars and are not cropped for hay. <br />They are not recognized as a special unit. <br />5.4.7 Native Rangelands <br />Native rangelands characterize the upper section of Scotchmans Gulch. These rangelands are <br />typical to those described for Grassy Creek in Section 5.1.7 and are in the brushy loam, claypan <br />and aspen woodland range sites as discussed in Sections 5.1.7 and 5.2.7. • <br />5.4.8 Drvland Agricultural <br />Dryland agricultural areas are extensive along the lower portion of Scotchmans Draw.
